In comparison with the original source material, the topic FAQ: Moving past in the Assault phase is missing an important paragraph about an exception to the rule. I must’ve just missed it somehow when I created the compendium.

The missing text is in the Battles Book, on page 107:

The exception to this (’cause there’s always exceptions) is when enemy units have been engaged in close combat already by other units. Then you can move past them, which is just as well because you could never move to engage other opponents otherwise.

The solution is simply to add this text to the topic in the compendium.
