Q&A: Shooting phase

[Content from Firepower #2 page 27.]

Q: The Shooting phase [procedure] rules [Rule Book page 16] now allow players to pass during the Shooting phase if they wish to wait for a better opportunity to shoot. (A change from the old rules that I like very much!) What happens if both players want to pass in the Shooting phase?

  1. The phase ends.
  2. The player who initially passed must fire a detachment. Play then continues.
  3. The player who initially passed must fire a detachment or declare that a detachment will not fire this turn. Play then continues.
  4. Discuss it with your opponent. If you have reached a point where neither will fire unless the other fires first, then the firing phase ends.

A: a.
